Privacy Policy
In short. UAIE has no server and collects no telemetry: no analytics, no tracking, no cookies, and no usage reports. Most features run entirely on your device. Some optional features send text to other companies, and this page lists every one of them, so that you can decide what to use.
1. What UAIE does not do
UAIE does not record which features you use or how often. It does not upload your documents to Fiza Pathan, to Fiza Pathan Publishing (OPC) Private Limited, or to any analytics provider. There is no UAIE account and no UAIE server.
2. Every data flow, feature by feature

Before the first request to Anthropic, UAIE shows a one-time notice in the task pane explaining this, and nothing is sent unless you choose to continue.
3. Your optional Anthropic API key
- You supply your own key in Settings. It is only needed for Translate, Plain Language L3–L6, and Multiple Intelligences L3–L6.
- The key is stored in your browser’s
localStoragefor the UAIE site, on this device only. It does not roam to your other devices, it is not stored in your Microsoft account, and it never reaches a UAIE server (there is none). - The key is sent only to Anthropic, inside the requests you make. Anyone who can use this browser profile on this device could read it, so use Clear in Settings on shared computers.

4. Other things stored on your device
- Your interface language, in the same
localStorageentry as the key. - A note that you have seen the one-time AI notice.
- When you use Dyslexia Reading Font or Visual Profiles, the original formatting of the affected paragraphs (with a short fingerprint of their text) is saved in the document’s own add-in settings, so that Revert can restore it exactly. This travels with the document if you share it, and is removed when you revert.
5. Braille and audit files
The .brf braille file and the audit report are created in your browser and saved to your device (or shown for you to copy in Word desktop). They never pass through any server.
6. Microsoft’s role
UAIE runs inside Microsoft Office. Microsoft may collect diagnostic data from Office itself under its own privacy statement, which is outside UAIE’s control.
7. Children and schools
UAIE collects no personal data itself. Schools that deploy UAIE should decide whether pupils may use the optional AI features (which send text to Anthropic) and the cloud read-aloud voices, in line with local law (for example FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and India’s DPDP Act). Without an API key, no text is ever sent to Anthropic.
