Privacy Policy

UAIE for Microsoft Word · Published by Fiza Pathan Publishing (OPC) Private Limited · Invented by Fiza Pathan · Effective date: 2 May 2026 (v1.2.10)

UAIE has no server. UAIE does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no cookies, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no callback URLs. This is a non-negotiable design principle, encoded into every module.

1. What UAIE does not do

UAIE does not collect telemetry about how you use Word. It does not record which features you activate or how often. It does not upload your documents anywhere. It does not send any data to Fiza Pathan Publishing (OPC) Private Limited, to any analytics provider, or to any third party.

2. What UAIE stores locally

UAIE uses the browser's localStorage feature, which is local to your machine, to remember:

This information never leaves your computer. It is not readable by any other add-in, website, or program. You can clear it at any time from the Settings panel in UAIE, or by signing out of Microsoft 365 on your machine.

3. The optional API key

Plain Language levels L1 and L2 run entirely on your machine with no network access. For levels L3, L4, L5, and L6, UAIE uses Anthropic's API. If you choose to enable these levels:

4. Braille and audit files

When you press a Convert button in the Braille module, or the Export Report button in the Accessibility Audit, UAIE generates a file in your browser and triggers a download to your machine. The file never touches any server; the conversion happens locally.

5. Microsoft's role

UAIE runs inside Microsoft's Office Add-in sandbox. Microsoft may collect diagnostic information from the Office application itself under its own privacy policy, which is outside UAIE's control. Please review Microsoft's privacy documentation for information about Microsoft 365.

6. Children

UAIE is designed for classroom use and is safe for readers of all ages. Because UAIE collects no data at all, there are no special child-data provisions beyond the general zero-collection stance above. Institutions deploying UAIE to student devices should ensure the deployment complies with local regulations (FERPA, COPPA, GDPR-K, DPDP Act, and equivalents) on the Microsoft 365 tenant side; UAIE itself introduces no additional data concerns.

7. Changes to this policy

Any change to this policy will be dated and published at this URL. Material changes will be flagged on first task-pane open after an update.
